What can cause Poodle Biting
There's a misunderstanding going around that poodles bite more often than any other dog breed, particularly with toy poodles. But, if you train your poodle correctly they will not bite at all and they will only have a little higher occurrence rate than any other dogs.
The reason for that fairly higher rate is mainly because poodles are one of the most intelligent breeds of dogs around and given the fact that they are only bred to be a pet, they will probably have a lack of strong instincts that other dogs possess. The combination of these two factors will make poodles grow stubborn and unresponsive to fundamental commands if they are not appropriately handled.
How to Stop Poodle Biting
Fortunately, because of their high intellect, poodles can be very easily trained to learn that biting is not an acceptable behavior.
To begin with, you have to make sure that your Poodle is appropriately socialized as a pup. Also keep in mind, that you should wait until the puppy is at least 8 weeks of age before taking it from its mother. This will make sure that it is given the time it needs to know how to control its urges to display dominance and not to bite.
After 8 weeks, you can begin to associate the dog with your family and with other puppies. You can also try going to bite aversion classes or puppy day cares. And always remember that Poodle pups should never be punished because early aggression can create behavior problems as they grow older.
You should also keep in mind not to let your puppy to bite. You can give the puppy a toy whenever they bite you or you can make soft whimpering noises to show them that what they are doing harms you.

If your Poodle is still biting or nipping when it's aged, you need to make sure that you have complete control of your dog. First, you need make sure that you show them that you are the alpha leader. Control feeding times, walking times, and train your dog some basic commands. And also keep in mind not to think twice when giving commands and stay away from any games like wrestling, tug of war, or chasing that can result in biting simply because this will make the behavior into a game that grabs attention.
Try taking your poodle to an obedience class when they show aggressive behavior or fear and stress related behavior. This will help them socialize with other dogs and help them address their aggression issues in a controlled environment.
But if your poodle biting dilemma grows more dangerous, think about hiring an expert or visit your veterinarian to rule out any possible medical causes to their biting.
